Welcome VR counselors, consumers and employers!
Locating that special job can be one of the most exciting accomplishments in a
world that defines individuals by their work. For most of us, that is the goal.
However, the task of job search, resume writing, interviewing, and follow up is
very difficult.
Career Connection of Broward, Inc. will work hand in hand with
those referred for employment services. Our goal will be to make the connection
between employer and employee, making sure both are satisfied with the alliance.
As part of our contract with the State of Florida, Career Connection of
Broward
will be responsible for networking with employers, teaching them about the
population of skilled workers. We have
established a Board of Directors. Each member has a passion for helping our
consumers. In our alliance with The Pantry of Broward, we will be able to tap
those board members for their connections in the community. With these
individuals as a foundation, we should have a jump start to a solid network of
potential employers.
The Pantry of Broward is working with Career Connection of
Broward to offer
some short term behavior assessment activities. This will help identify problem
areas where improvement is required to insure success in the employment setting.
Classes start Monday, April 5th
